At work
By day I'm Director of Digital Process Improvement at Dickinson State University. My job is finding the busywork (the copy-paste, the paper forms, the five-step approvals) and replacing it with something smarter: sometimes AI, sometimes a better form, sometimes just a conversation.
Outside DSU, I run Jay Bay Creates, helping organizations adopt AI and improve their processes, and I speak and lead workshops on the human side of automation.

For nearly 16 years I've written, directed, and performed in the Dickinson Public Schools Foundation's murder mystery fundraiser, which raises money for supplies, programs, and grants for local schools.
Those shows became the scripts I now license to theatres, venues, and event organizers. I like a mystery that's genuinely fair to solve and jokes that land with a room full of strangers. They're written for adults on purpose: the funniest version of this material isn't the one sanded down for an assembly.
